77. Yosemite National Park, California
Yosemite National Park ensconced in beautiful Mariposa County is perhaps most known for its 20 waterfalls but there are arguably a lot of significant sights to see here. Those in the know recommend seeing the sunset as it lights up the famous granite monolith known as El Capitan. It is also the biggest chunk of granite in the world and a favorite of experienced rock climbers. It’s 3,500 feet high. Be sure to take time to see such wonders as the giant sequoias, great glaciers, and the Half Dome as well.
