23.  Staithes, England

This little fishing village is located on the North Yorkshire coast ‘tween towering cliffs. This marvelous maze of old fisherman cottages and steep walkways is rich in torrid tales of smuggling and assorted seafaring. Captain Cook once worked in this famous fishing port. Explore the traditional fish and chip shops and traditional pubs, and go rock pooling on the beach too.

24.  Tenby, Wales

This is one of Pembrokeshire’s prettiest places, towering over the cliffs. This historic town was once a Norman settlement and a famous bathing spot during the Georgian era. Stroll along the promenade past the colorful Regency townhouses. Other highlights here include the castle and fort, and the harbor. Don’t miss the cliff-backed Castle Beach either.
