27.  Manarola, Italy

Manarola is but one of the five vertiginous villages of Liguria’s scintillating Cinque Terra. Here the pretty pastel homes are surrounded by attractive terraced vineyards. Hike the hills here, stroll along the harbor, and go swimming or even sailing in the coves. Check out the view from the popular Punta Bonfiglio as well.

28.  Alcalá del Júcar, Spain

This is but one of the vertiginous villages found in the province of Albacete. It was carved from the deep limestone cliffs of the gorge and includes many different underground tunnels to be explored. The main attraction is the famous 15th-century castle. It comes complete with an Instagramble bridge that has its roots in Roman times.
