1Oslob Island
Oslob is a striking island just off Cebu’s coast. The main draw here is under the water though and not above it. The island gives visitors the opportunity to enjoy close encounters with whale sharks, while swimming with them. Though scientifically referred to as the shark species, the creatures are surprisingly amiable and gentle. Bear in mind though that the destination has come under heavy criticism for disturbing the feeding and migratory patterns/behaviors of these majestic creatures.
