The Boiling Lake is situated in the Morne Trois Pitons National Park, is just 10.5 kilometers or 6.5 miles east of the capital city of Roseau. It is also the world’s second-largest hot lake. The Boiling Lake’s waters can heat up to a temperature of 92°C or 198°F.
This is because of the spurts of heated air that come from under the ground. It’s against the law to go swimming here. Even when there are no telltale characteristic bubbles on the water’s surface, the lake can boil in mere seconds.
