Croatia Plitvice Lakes National Park
These popular, “Fern Gully”-like waterfalls are all over Instagram and Pinterest. They are the most beautiful in the country. If you want to swim though you’ll have to go to nearby Krka National Park.
Cyprus Aphrodites Rock
Greek mythology notes this rock marks the place where Aphrodite was born amid the churning waters. Indeed, the waves are rough and visitors aren’t encouraged to go swimming. Still, legends say if you swim here you’ll be blessed with beauty eternal–provided you survive.
Czechia Moravia
Travel buffs say Moravia is underrated. Veteran visitors confirm it’s just as magnetic as Prague. The green vineyards and lush landscapes go on forever and it’s a nice place to get your wine goggles on too.
Denmark Skagen
This is where bohemian Danes flock for inspiration. They look to the fishing boats on the water and the surreal sunsets too. Don’t miss the Rbjerg Mile either where you’ll see the largest wandering sand dunes in northern Europe.
