A once busy commercial center is now a eerie remnant of the state’s financial status. After being officially launched in 1914, the Michigan Central Station witnessed heavy train traffic as a result of being one of the country’s most prominent economic hubs. However, once the number of trains visiting the station started reducing, it grappled with low traffic for long, before finally being shut in the late 80s.
