88. Millennium Force Cedar Point Park, Ohio, U.S.

When it opened in 2000, Millennium Force was the world’s fastest and tallest roller coaster. At 310 feet tall, it remains the world’s first “Giga coaster” (being between 300 and 300 feet high). This roller coaster also has three trains and nine passenger cars. The ride, which lasts for two minutes and 20 seconds, includes four hills, three turns and two tunnels and travels as fast as 93 m.p.h. You must be between 5 feet and 6.5 feet tall to ride this attraction.

  1. You’re wrong about #10. The Fury 325 at Carowinds in Charlotte, North Carolina is 325 high and reaches a top speed of 95mph. Both taller and faster than the Intimidator.

  2. Hello,
I believe this article was published a couple years ago. My guess is either The Fury was not officially opened when the list itself was created or it was disqualified for one reason or another. It seems the list changes a bit every so often, in fact. But, hey, if there is enough interest in doing an updated article I will gladly write it.
Thanks for the comment though and your support!
