2Explore the longest navigable underground river in the world
The Cabayugan River runs from the Saint Paul Mountains in the Puerto Princesa Subterranean River National Park and then flows deep into a cave there. This subterranean section of the river is the park’s main attraction. This underground portion is five miles in length.
You can explore roughly half of it via boat. In fact, you can rent a “paddle-powered outrigger” at the mouth of the cave and take it approximately one mile into the cave where you’ll see swiftlet and bats that live there. You’ll also see the naturally-formed stalactites and stalagmites too.
