2. London, UK

20.42 million international visitors travel to London annually. It is not only Europe’s richest and largest city but also a very diverse and cultural metropolis. 19.83 million of them are overnight visitors too. Their transportation system is quite efficient and will easily get you to all the important places. Enjoy Big Ben, the Tower of London, Westminster Abbey and Buckingham Palace too. There’s also the Gherkin skyscraper and the tallest building on the continent, The Shard. Take in the year-long art exhibits in the British Museum, the National Gallery, and the Tate Modern too.

1. Bangkok, Thailand

21.98 million international visitors annually make this place the world’s most visited city for the third year in a row. In fact, 20.05 million are overnighters. This is reported to be partially due to both its hot spots and historical sites. Noteworthy stops include the Grand Palace complex and the Mandarin Oriental. Bangkok also has a multitude of various eateries from outdoor street food vendors along the alleys and canals to nice restaurants. Seafood is big there so have some fish soup, a crab omelet, or a drunken crab. Not into fish? Try the pork knuckles or pork trotters. Bon appetit!
