The famous American melting pot, nicknamed “the Big Apple”, welcomes 13.67 million international visitors. Whether they come to see the Empire State Building or the Statue of Liberty in New York Harbor, 13.13 million of these tourists stay overnight at such places as the sky-high hotels in Midtown. This most populous metropolis offers a diversity of attractions including museums, parks, nightclubs, and eateries. A plethora of diverse cuisine can be had here be it from food trucks and mom and pop stops to the appetizing Italian restaurants. Veteran visitors recommend the bagels, cheesecake, and pizza.

5. Singapore, Southeast Asia

14.47 million international visitors come to this island country and sovereign city-state every year. Situated in Southeast Asia, this alluring city is famous for the world’s best airport–the Singapore Changi Airport and perhaps “most Instagrammable hotel,” the Hotel Mono. In fact, 13.91 million travelers are also overnight visitors here. Foodies can enjoy the simple “blue-collar” eats right on the street or dine at such popular places as the Kok Sen Restaurant which serves Cantonese-Singaporean food or the Nouri which offers what’s called “Crossroads cooking” and prepared by the native Brazilian head chef Ivan Brehm.
