3COLMAR
Also known as the Venice of France. This wonderful little town is heavily influenced by Swiss and German architectural design, just near the northern borders in Alsace. During the French revolution, the place was preserved and making it so vivid and genuine display of the past.
Wandering in the streets of Colmar felt like you have stepped into a different world like in the pages of fairytale perfect for honeymoon or reconciliation. Locals stand prod of their attractive homes, placing colorful shutters decorating them also with pots of geraniums. Often with vibrant paints and pretty flowers as an ornament.
The iconic Launch River in the heart of Colmar and with the surrounding cobblestone streets lined with the medieval-inspired theme and early Renaissance buildings.
You can also drop by in the gothic 13th Century, Eglise Saint-Martin church located on central Place de la Cathédrale. This center is full of different kinds of shops and boutiques selling local delicacies and products from chocolates, salted caramels, jars of sauerkraut, and pretzels (salty or sweet pretzels), white wine, cheese, sausages.
