22. Frying Pan Lake, New Zealand
It’s much lesser used name is The Waimangu Cauldron. You will find it in the well-known Echo Crater of New Zealand’s Waimangu Volcanic Rift Valley. It’s the world’s largest natural hot spring. At its widest point, it is 200 meters.
The water here is naturally acidic. The temperature fluctuates between 50 and 60 °C. Interestingly, this particular spring can be found in Waimangu along a wheelchair-accessible walkway.
