Balboa Park was actually meant to be just a temporary location to be used for the big 1915-16 Panama-California Exposition. Today the park is arguably the city’s most popular park. It is praised by nature lovers and photographers for its attractive buildings, noteworthy fountains, pretty gardens, green, lush lawns, and trees.
