Hit the beach, baby!
As American author Horace Greeley once said: “Go west, young man.” More specifically, go west and hit one of San Diego’s beaches. You can swim, surf, get a tan, see a super sand castle competition, check out the tide pools, or even frolic with your family dog.
Be sure to figure out which beach is right for you ahead of time. If you like less touristy beaches check out Imperial Beach. Traveling sans children and confident in your appearance? Check out Black’s Beach, San Diego’s only nude beach. Be aware of cloudy days too.
