5. Bimmah Sinkhole, Oman

Bimmah Sinkhole in Arabic means Meteor Fall Park. As the name implies, the spot is believed to have had a meteor striking to a hidden wonder. However, in reality, the sinkhole was a result of more natural phenomenon. It was a result of falling rocks and mineral erosion.

The sinkhole is linked to the ocean through a network of underground tunnels. For those travelling from Al Sharqiyah to Muscat, this can be a nice day trip option. Explore the Hawiyam Najm Park, where this relaxing sinkhole is housed.

  1. Hi!
Thanks for your comment. If I am ever asked to do a sequel perhaps I can include that location. Thanks for reading!

  2. Geese. You missed Ojo Calente , on 285, between Santa Fe and Taos. It’s so great. Five different mineral hot springs. Bought from the Native Americans in 1939. Main lodge house still in use. You MUST GO. It’s sooooo relaxing. Spend two nights and renew yourself. Then go to Santa Fe and enjoy the art.

  3. Hello Ruth!
I think your suggestion sounds wonderful. In fact, we are discovering that the article should have included more than 13. I will try to keep your spot in mind if the folks in charge ever ask me to write a sequel. Thanks for your support and for reading my stuff!

  4. I love the different fall & pools but,you need to come to florida. We have over a 1000 springs.Florida may very be the largest spring system in the world.I live 6 miles north of itchetucknee springs state park. The crystall clear stream has 100s of springs from large to small.

  5. Hi!
Yes, I have been to Florida but not to that state park. While your state park might not appear on this list, if you search our website you will see Florida is represented pretty well elsewhere. If it is any help, I do not generally choose the places and things that make the lists. I simply wrote about the ones that do. Thanks for your comment and thanks for reading my stuff!

  6. Aruba’s natural pool on the Atlantic side of the island has always been our favorite! Wish I could insert a picture:)

  7. Hi!
Yes, every one has their favorites. As always, we are limited on word count though so sometimes not everyone’s fave makes it into the published article. I believe I have written about it previously somewhere else though for sure. Thanks for your comment and thanks for your support!

  8. Hi!
At this point I would suggest you check out my article regarding COID restrictions before making any immediate plans. Plus, you need to consider what you like to do as well and how much money you have to spend. Thanks or your question.

  9. Thank you for your comment! I hope to be given another assignment on this subject someday. Thanks for reading my stuff!
