Go For A Ferry Ride
If you find yourself short of funds and have yet to see the famous Statue of Liberty, fret not. You can get some great views of Lady Liberty for free simply by taking a ride on the Staten Island ferry out of the South Ferry terminal. This free ride lasts for 25 minutes and you’ll see the Manhattan skyline, Ellis Island, and (of course) the Statue of Liberty. You can walk around Staten Island then take the ferry back to the city free of charge too.
Stroll Through The West Village
Yet another place for those who like to walk around and people watch, the West Village is part of Greenwich Village. It’s one of New York City’s most beautiful and famous neighborhoods. These familiar brownstone-lined streets have been seen in such hit television shows as “Friends” and “Sex and the City” among others. Stroll over to Washington Square Park too while you’re there. You’ll see some of New York City’s most memorable boutiques, cafes, and homes.
