The Taj Mahal in Agra, India has been listed as one of the “top 10 incredibly fascinating historical sites around the world.” Erected by Emperor Shah Jahan and more than 20,000 workmen in the mid-1600s as a loving homage to his much loved deceased third wife Mumtaz. This pristine marble mausoleum is not only one of the most recognizable buildings on Earth, it is also one of the famous New Seven Wonders of the World.
