15. Take the Silk Road

This ancient road connecting the eat to the west was once the sole trade route. Using this road, you can explore seven countries covering more than 6,000 miles over 80 days. You’ll travel by train, jeep and even boat across diverse terrain beginning in Istanbul, Turkey and ending in Xian, China. Highlights will include seeing the Terracotta Army, the Kashgar Sunday Bazaar, and the famous Palace of Khudayar Khan.

14. Explore the countryside of Italy

Your journey begins in the Lucca which is perhaps best known for its well-preserved Renaissance walls. From there you should head for Montalcino and see the UNESCO World Heritage Sites and towns along the way as well. Stop to visit Tuscany too. Known as the birthplace of the Italian Renaissance, it is also famous for its architecture, beautiful countryside, delicious food and wine, and history.
